Crochet Loop Stitch Rug

difficulty level: advanced beginner

crochet loop stitch rug tutorial

Have you ever started a project with the goal of using up scrap yarn, only to find out you had to buy MORE yarn just to finish?! Well, that's exactly what happened to me. But it resulted in a cute crochet loop stitch rug pattern, so I'm not too mad about it. ;)

This is a fun and fast project that will be a cute addition to any room. The ombre' effect adds lots of visual interest and the fluffy loops are so squishy to walk on. Perfect softness for your tootsies.

Positives about this crochet loop stitch rug:

  • the flat base and bulky top make it the perfect weight distribution for lying on the floor well.

  • you can even make your loop stich rug into a shag rug with a little scissor snipping - simply find the center of each loop section and snip it with the scissors. (you may need to go back and trim the shags to the same length for a more uniform look)

  • since this rug is a simple rectangle shape, you can easily adjust it to your desired size.

  • the yarn used is machine washable!
