Crochet Christmas Doily Pattern
what you will need:
I used Aspen decorative ribbon from Marshall's for my finished Christmas doily and a 3.75mm crochet hook. The circumference measures 42" after steam blocking. For the video tutorial, I used Paintbox Cotton Aran in the color Slate Green. The circumference measures 42" before steam blocking. I used approximately 140 yds. You can adjust the size of your crochet doily by changing yarn weight and/or hook size, or by changing how many rounds you crochet. This crochet Christmas Doily would also be a great scrap yarn project!

SLST - slip stitch
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
TR - treble crochet
PS - puff stitch

Crochet Christmas Doily
pattern:
CH 4, join with SLST to form circle.
Round 1: CH 3 (counts as DC), in the circle 2DC, CH 2, [3DC, CH 2] twice; join with SLST in top of CH 3. (9 DC)
Round 2: *[CH 4, SLST in next DC] 2 times, PS in CH 2-SP, CH 1, SLST in next DC; REP from * two more times; join with a SLST in the base of 1st CH 4.
Round 3: SLST in next CH 4-SP, CH 4 (counts as TR), 2TR in same CH 4-SP, CH 4; *3TR in next CH 4-SP, CH 4; REP from * 4 more times; join with a SLST in the top of CH 4. (18 TR)
Round 4: *CH 6, form loop with a SLST in 1st CH of CH 4-SP, PS in CH 4-SP, CH 2, SLST in next TR; REP from * 5 more times; join with a SLST in base of CH 6.
Round 5: SLST in CH 6-SP, 5DC in same CH 6-SP, CH 3, DC in top of PS, CH 3; *5DC in next CH 6-SP, CH 3, DC in top of PS, CH 3; REP from * 4 more times; join with a SLST in first DC.
Round 6: *CH 5, form loop with SLST in 3rd of 5 DC, CH 5, form loop with SLST in 5th of 5 DC, CH 5, form loop with SLST in next DC (DC over PS), CH 5, form loop with SLST in 1st of 5 DC; REP from * 5 more times ending with a SLST in base of CH 5. (24 loops)
Round 7: SLST in CH 5-SP, PS in same CH 5-SP, CH 3, [3DC in next CH 5-SP, CH 2] 3 times; *PS in next CH 5-SP, CH 3, [3DC in next CH 5-SP, CH 2] 3 times; REP from * 4 more times ending with a SLST in 2nd CH on top of first PS.
Round 8: SLST in next CH 2-SP, CH 3 (counts as TR), TR in next CH 2-SP, CH 2, TR in each of next 3 DC, CH 2, [TR in next CH 2-SP] 2 times, CH 2, 3TR in top of PS, CH 2, *[TR in next CH 2-SP] 2 times, CH 2, TR in each of next 3 DC, CH 2, [TR in next CH 2-SP] 2 times, CH 2, 3TR in top of PS, CH 2; REP from * 4 more times ending with a SLST in top of TR after the CH 3 (point of triangle).

Round 13: *CH 5, form loop with SLST in 3rd TR, PS in next CH 3-SP, CH 1, SLST in next TR, CH 5, form loop with SLST in 3rd TR, 3DC in next CH 3-SP, SLST in next TR; REP from * 11 more times ending with a SLST in base of CH 5.
Round 14: *4SC in CH 5-SP, SC in each of next 3 spaces over PS, 4SC in next CH 5-SP, SC in each of next 3DC; REP from * around ending with a SLST in 1st SC. (168 SC)
